I'm dreaming of warm summer weather, visits to favorite places and painting plein air.   This small painting is from one of my favorite summer gardens, Evergreen Lavender Farm in Appomattox, VA.  In addition to the lavender, there are perennial gardens as well as annual flowers like zinnias and sunflowers.  Last summer I set up to paint within view of this shed.  The weathered exterior just made the colors in the flowers more intense.

I will be teaching a plein air workshop at the farm the last Saturday in May.  Please visit my Calendar page on the website for details.

Thank you for stopping by today.
