We were invited to paint the views from a house being readied for sale. Despite the hot day, we persevered long enough to get the painting laid out on the canvas. Back in the studio I condensed the view a bit to better fit the canvas.  I then took some time to think about what to do with the foreground.  There was a large probably formal garden at one time on the property.  All that remained of the garden were several ornamental grasses that had survived neglect and deer browsing.  I felt that a meadow would be a colorful and ‘fitting” addition to the foreground.  Goldenr0ds, Joe Pye Weeds and New York Ironweeds were included in the meadow.  I hope you find this path a destination you wish to walk.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Please consider signing up for my never-more-than-2-newsletters a month email list on the website.
